Account deletion and retained records
Scheduling deletion immediately signs you out and suspends ordinary account access. Vehicles keep their recorded ownership; they are not automatically transferred.
You have 30 days to explicitly cancel with your current password. Signing in does not cancel. Ordinary password resets and email changes cannot recover a pending-deletion account.
Listings, shared reports, reminders and existing conversations stop. Cancellation restores account access after reconciliation. Sharing and reminders need a separate action; old conversations stay closed.
Eligible finalization removes sign-in identity and profile details. A distinct minimized reference may remain for protected vehicle provenance, transfers, payments or safety evidence. Missing retention rules or cleanup can delay finalization.
Conversation text has a separate 365-day period from last activity; resolved safety evidence/audit has a 90-day period, and minimal blocks last 365 days after finalization. Justified evidence exceptions have finite deadlines. Expired conversations are removed with their participant and unread records. Unresolved reports expire at their frozen collection deadline unless selected evidence has an approved finite exception. Recipient copies and backups are not all erased on day 30.
Private vehicle files, saved report PDFs and payments follow separately approved retention rules. Profile-photo cleanup must succeed before completion. Retired usernames are not reassigned during beta. A later signup inherits no old access.
If you lose your password during recovery, the ordinary reset flow cannot reopen the account. Support cannot bypass identity checks or the deadline. Complete any needed ownership transfer before scheduling deletion.
